Legal Intern

Position Summary

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is looking for a Spring 2027 law student intern to support the Legal, Ethics & Trust Department. This is a paid internship where the intern will assist lawyers in transactional, litigation and corporate matters. SCA's law student intern program is designed to provide hands-on training in a real-world in-house legal department environment. Assignments will vary and may include researching and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, and attending client meetings and negotiations.

Interns will work in person 1-2 days per week from the NYC office and remotely for approximately 15-20 hours/week.

Job Responsibilities

• Experience, background, coursework, or other indicia of interest in technology, media, or similar industries
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Prior law firm, judicial internship, or related internship experience is a plus
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until completion
• Experience in discreetly handling confidential information preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school
• If seeking course credit, must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school internship, externship, or clinical program
• Honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct are material requirements

Qualifications for Position

Your qualifications and experience should include:

• Submit resume, cover letter, law school transcript, and writing sample as part of the application materials
• Available to work starting January 2027 until the end of the Spring 2027 semester
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The target hourly rate for this internship is $23.00 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
