What You Will Do

This internship in Milwaukee, WI offers hands-on learning through meaningful assignments and challenging objectives. You will work in the Milwaukee HVAC Branch and gain exposure to controls systems engineering, controls installation and system commissioning. You will work alongside experienced technicians, project managers and engineers.

How You Will Do It

• Support the specification, installation and commissioning of new construction projects with technicians, project managers and engineers.
• Learn about HVAC systems through office work and field experience at construction and renovation sites.
• Help modify standard Johnson Controls designs to meet project specifications.
• Read and interpret control drawings, design blueprints and specifications.
• Read and write software code used in controls applications.
• Learn to install, inspect, commission and troubleshoot control systems.
• Prepare controls and equipment submittals and support the approval process.
