Its new lines aim to integrate all the new tools available in order to implement an Industry 5.0 vision (including optimization of manufacturing processes, monitoring, numerical simulations, machine connectivity, automation) in order to maintain our competitiveness in the market. What will your day-to-day look like?

• The intern will be responsible for carrying out different development projects:
• Work on a large-scale project with new technologies (real-time monitoring, digital twins, NC programming)
• Participate in the optimization of special processes including welding, heat treatments, peening, brazing but also conventional (turning, milling, grinding) and non-conventional (EDM, Laser) machining processes
• Work in collaboration with technical experts, process planners, operators and production inspectors
• Support teams during investigation or problem solving in production
• Perform metallographic analyses and other mechanical tests.
• Write technical reports
• Share your results and analysis during technical reviews.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university for the duration of your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired.
• Pursue studies in a relevant field (mechanical engineering, materials, metallurgy).
• Excellent communication skills in French (spoken/written).

• Leadership and diplomacy.
• Software knowledge: Office Suite.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
