Labcorp is seeking a Molecular Assay Development Intern to join our Research and Development Team in San Francisco, California.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform molecular biology assays for detecting genetic variants.
• Execute experiments for Next Generation Sequencing workflows.
• Maintain detailed and organized experiment write-ups.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or graduate program in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or Biotechnology.

About the Team

The San Francisco Research & Development team enables the development of new tests and launches for germline genetic testing product lines. This laboratory role focuses on developing and optimizing molecular biology assays with an emphasis on accuracy, reproducibility, and scalability.

Internship Details

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time.
• Dates: June 1, 2027 to August 13, 2027.
• Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
