Internship: Microbiology Lab Intern

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Intern to join our Microbiology Team in Indianapolis, IN.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm / 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Analyze test results and use independent judgment to generate accurate and reliable results within quality control requirements.
• Maintain testing records, documentation, and laboratory data per regulatory and departmental requirements.
• Complete all assigned duties in compliance with SOPs, laboratory policies, and quality guidelines.
• Participate in research and development activities as assigned.
• Assist with the development, evaluation, and modification of laboratory procedures and processes.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by laboratory management or the Laboratory Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a scientific Bachelor's degree program in Biology or Microbiology.

About the Team

The Microbiology department at Labcorp Biopharma Lab Services provides clinical trial services for clients, including data in different formats. The team consists of 30 members in roles ranging from lab assistants to medical technologists, scientists, and management.

• Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.
