Chicago Hiring Research Analyst Intern

This 10-week internship gives you the chance to experience life as a Research Analyst at IMC through training and project work. Over the summer, a dedicated mentor will support your work and professional growth. Accommodations are included and the compensation package is highly competitive. Interns who meet performance expectations may be offered a full-time Research Analyst position at the end of the program.

Core Responsibilities

• Take part in training on options theory and the core principles of financial markets
• Build skills with feedback and support from your assigned mentor

• Attend a full calendar of events and social activities with your intern cohort and current employees

Skills and Experience

• Currently enrolled at a university in the United States or Canada, graduating between September 2027 and July 2028, pursuing an Economics, Business, Finance or related degree
• Strong analytical skills and interest in solving complex problems
• Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable asking questions, taking responsibility and learning from experience
• A team player with a proactive mindset
• Python programming experience preferred but not required
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong interest in financial markets
• Able to start the internship on June 7, 2027

Base salary is one part of total compensation. Full-time, permanent positions are also eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
