Job Description

HydraForce's internship program is designed to develop future engineering talent for our organization while supporting our Supplier Quality Engineering team. The engineering internship offers candidates the chance to build knowledge and skills unique to our industry. Project tasks increase in technical complexity as you demonstrate proficiency and succeed on prior assignments. While employment is not guaranteed, our goal is for interns to be fully prepared for an entry-level engineering role upon graduation.

Supporting Job Elements:

• Create Value Stream Maps and develop projects to streamline processes
• Clean, merge, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Build databases to store historical and future data
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean tools to analyze and solve problems
• Support continuous improvement projects
• Assist with daily activities including inspection, sorting, problem investigations, and PPAP approvals
• Help with non-conforming material reports and analysis
• Create and modify systems for tracking metrics
• Develop and improve documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, work instructions, and process flows

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI, Minitab
• Enrolled in an engineering undergraduate program
• Completed at least 24 credit hours at the university level
• Coursework or experience in database setup, SPC, data collection
• Coursework or experience in statistical analysis and lean tools
• Coursework or experience in measurement systems
• Basic experience in 3D modeling; understanding of GD&T
• Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques and FMEAs
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Majors Desired:

Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

June 2, 2027 - August 6, 2027

Additional Information

The US base hourly range for this position is between $20 and $27, depending on credits accumulated by undergraduate students. Your recruiter can provide more details about the specific hourly range during the interview process.
