Why join us?
General Motors is working toward a future with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. Vehicle Autonomy is an important part of that vision, helping create safer, more capable, and more seamless experiences for customers.
Our Product Management teams connect customer needs, business priorities, technology, and execution. They work across current and future autonomy products, along with the underlying software and platform capabilities that support GM's vehicle autonomy roadmap.
As a Product Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment while contributing to work that supports the future of transportation.

- Assist with roadmap planning and preparing materials for team and stakeholder discussions.
- Analyze information and data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Take part in cross-functional meetings and help track decisions, actions, dependencies, and open questions.
- Work with engineering, design, data science, program management, and other teams to understand product capabilities and constraints.
- Help evaluate current and future autonomy experiences and the platforms that support them.
- Prepare presentations, status updates, and recommendations for a variety of audiences.
- Support the development and tracking of product success measures, customer feedback, and team objectives.
- Learn and apply product management practices in an automotive and software-defined vehicle environment.
Your skills and abilities
- Interest in product management, vehicle autonomy, advanced driver assistance systems, automotive technology, robotics, or emerging mobility experiences.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information and present proposals to stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates from different technical and professional backgrounds, including experience on a team project with ambiguous or evolving requirements.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and share new concepts.
What will give you a competitive edge
- Coursework, projects, or prior experience in product management, software development, data analysis, user research, systems engineering, robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or automotive technology.
- Experience translating user or business needs into requirements, workflows, features, or recommendations.
- Experience creating presentations, dashboards, reports, process diagrams, or other structured deliverables.
- Exposure to ADAS, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, sensor systems, vehicle systems, or software platforms.
