We are a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft. We are committed to the future of safe and more sustainable flight, and we rely on our talented people to make it happen.

Job Description

Job Summary

Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern/co-op! You will build leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role, working on challenging, real-world problems. You will build relationships with interns, co-ops, and leaders, and you can prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our leadership programs or a direct hire opportunity.

Your placement will take your preferences into account, along with your major, year of schooling, and business needs at the time of placement. Willingness and ability to work in any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations is required.

Essential Responsibilities

EHS stands for Environment, Health, and Safety, and on this track you may also be involved in Facilities and Maintenance. You will be responsible for workforce efforts that protect the health and safety of GE Aerospace employees and the public, as well as the environment, from hazards. This may include industrial hygiene, hazard assessments, risk abatement, environmental work (wastewater management, hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, air regulations, and regulatory agency compliance), ergonomics, and addressing safety concerns.

You will learn our EHS management systems and framework, and coach employees and teams to build sustainable processes that meet all EHS requirements. Work includes sustainability efforts for wastewater and air in manufacturing processes, plus occupational health and wellness. This is a strong opportunity for someone interested in our OMLP program after graduation.
