About Flexport

Flexport believes global trade can move the human race forward. The company's mission is to make global commerce so easy that there will be more of it. Flexport works in a $10T industry with technology and exceptional people, and its customers, from emerging brands to Fortune 500 companies, use its platform to move more than $19B of merchandise across 112 countries each year.

Flexport has the backing of leading investors who share its mission, solutions and people.

Build the operational and technical skill set that runs global trade

The Rotational Development Program (RDP) is designed to develop people who combine real supply chain knowledge with the ability to build and automate. Flexport is building this talent pipeline internally.

This is an 18-month program. Every assignment is live, revenue-generating work, and every participant earns a certification in AI and low-code tooling alongside their operational and commercial training. Graduates are placed into roles with real scope, primarily Account Management, with paths into Automation Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering/Consulting, Sales Engineering, or a traditional Ops, Sales or Customs track.

What you'll do

You will rotate through three functions, six months each, with AI and low-code curriculum running throughout:

  • Gateway Ops (Air or Ocean). Own the shipment lifecycle, execute bookings, manage exceptions and keep data integrity to Flexport's standard. Build early automation and reporting skills through structured coursework.
  • Customs. Become a global trade expert by navigating customs regulations to make sure goods comply with international law. At the same time, take on applied technical work such as SQL, workflow automation and Lean process improvement.
  • Sales / Account Management. Take on go-to-market work and build client-facing skills with more independence. Your capstone is to identify a real business problem in the function you are in and build the tooling or process fix that solves it, then present it to leadership at graduation.

Throughout the program, you'll get

  • A day-to-day manager in your current rotation and a Rotation Program Manager tracking your development, with mid-point and end-of-rotation evaluations at every stage.
  • AI and low-code tooling certifications, from a foundational bootcamp through applied builds to a capstone project.
  • Bi-weekly cohort touchpoints and a standing alumni mentor community.
  • Increased earning potential as you clear program benchmarks.

This role is for you if you

  • Are on track to graduate, or recently graduated, and want a career at the intersection of supply chain operations and technology.
  • Are genuinely curious about AI and low-code tooling and want real fluency, not just a resume line.
  • Can work with minimal supervision, handle a high volume of work and communicate clearly under pressure.
  • Want real ownership early. The program gives you live client and business work from the start. It is not a shadowing or classroom-based program.
  • Bring a compliance-first mindset, since Flexport operates in a heavily regulated industry and that matters in every rotation.
