What You Will Do

  • Participate in researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
  • Resolve day-to-day technical problems by troubleshooting electrical device issues on the production line.
  • Complete drawing designs as required, operate engineering software and equipment, and confer with stakeholders regarding engineering projects.
  • Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.

What You Will Learn

  • Gain knowledge about designing electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Gain knowledge in analyzing and evaluating new or improved electronic components, including power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems, and servomechanisms.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience using MATLAB, C, C++, Excel, JavaScript.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience using test equipment such as analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
  • Experience using eCAD tools and electronic design and simulation tools.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
