What You Will Do

Our Colorado Springs Ejection Seating Division is recognized as the leader in design, development, and manufacturing of ACES ejection seats. Our ACES 5 Ejection Seat is recognized as the benchmark in aircrew ejection safety. Thousands of Collins ejection seats are in service today on F-15, F-16, A-10, B-1, B-2, AV-8, WB-57, and other aircraft across the world in more than 25 countries. ACES ejection seats have saved the lives of more than 700 aircrew over the last few decades.

The selected candidate will join the ejection seating Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team to support the team's daily tasking, while gaining exposure to all phases of the engineering development lifecycle of a real world, critical product. This is an onsite role in Colorado Springs, CO.

What You Will Learn

• Learn systems engineering practices in support of projects assigned.
• Assist in evaluating external and internal customer needs to help define system performance requirements, document architecture, and validate requirements are met.
• Learn test engineering methodologies, including test planning, preparation, data analysis, and verification documentation.
• Depending on program schedules and candidate proficiency, there is a possibility of supporting our test engineers with test execution.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

• The position requires strong interpersonal skills, high degree of comfort with ambiguity, good project discipline, excellent oral and written communication skills, high computer/technology proficiency, and the ability to work independently.
