The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department develops guidance section electronics architectures for development programs, supports subsystem analyses, integration and test, provides program leadership as well as GPS/IMU support. We partner with several Electrical Engineering Departments that provide the detail designs of our electrical products. We are seeking interns willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today's cutting-edge technology to develop electrical subsystems.
What You Will Do:
- Troubleshoot electronics in a lab or production environment, perform system and circuit level analysis, subsystem integration and test, support failure investigations, maintain and create documentation, and interact with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.
- Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
- Perform failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
- Perform analog and digital circuit analysis and characterize and model electrical signals of electronics subsystems in simulation.
- Identify and instantiate circuit card and subassembly design updates.
- Conduct integration & test at the subassembly level.
- Develop interconnect models between various subsystems.
- Generate test procedures/plans and document test results.
- Generate and present task results to small technical teams.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and be at minimum entering their Sophomore by the start of summer 2027.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control.
- Experience with oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power meter.
- Basic lab or other experience with one or more of the following: RF, analog, digital, mixed signal, circuit design or analysis.
- Experience with writing and/or executing test procedures.
- Integration and test of electrical hardware/subsystems.
