Kids & Family TV Internship

About the Role & Program

Join the Disney Kids and Family team, which oversees development and production of content for kids, teens, and families on Disney+ and Disney Channel linear networks. We encourage fans of genre, adventure, and teen coming-of-age television. This is a great learning opportunity for anyone curious about television development in kids, YA, and family content.

This is a full-time internship, approximately January 2027 through June 2027. If selected, you will report directly to the Manager of Live-Action Series Development.

What You Will Do

You will support the Original Live-Action Series Development team for Disney Kids & Family. We are a close-knit team, and we want you to familiarize yourself with our shows. Tasks include updating tracking grids and development reports, taking notes during meetings, and cutting dailies as needed. There is also the chance to assist with administrative duties. Not every day is the same, but some current projects and tasks include:

• Giving notes on incoming material
• Creating and distributing weekly development reports
• Maintaining various tracking grids
• Note-taking in team and project meetings
• Cutting dailies
• Basic administrative duties, such as answering phones and scheduling
• Assisting executives and executive assistants with a variety of tasks as needed
• Creating presentation decks and mock-up graphics

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Curiosity in scripted development series
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google suites
• Motivated, self-sufficient, with a can-do attitude
• Passion for reading
• Strong computer and research skills
• Experience with Airtable and Canva

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
• Some previous education or experience in a related field (TV, film, children's education/development)
• Prior administrative experience is nice to have

Education

• Senior year preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through June 2027
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $23 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
