About the Role & Program

ABC Owned Television Stations is dedicated to celebrating cities, communities, cultures and entertainment across America. We create content for ABC's Owned Television Stations' linear, streaming, digital, and social media channels.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work across both On The Red Carpet, the entertainment brand of ABC Owned Television Stations, and the broader OTV content team. Interns will gain hands-on experience in entertainment journalism, social media strategy, digital video production, content development, and multiplatform distribution.

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through early June 2027.

What You Will Do

• Produce, edit, and help shoot content for On The Red Carpet's digital and social platforms
• Research and assist in coverage for OTV special events
• Generate exciting and creative concepts with the production team for linear, digital and social coverage of entertainment and special events
• Write articles, create video content, and publish to OnTheRedCarpet.com

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in and knowledge of using social media platforms to post and create content
• Experience with using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
• Major or previous coursework in Film & Television, Communications or related major
• Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television, news and news media production; and/or television news script writing
• Experience filming content on iPhone and DSLR cameras
• Experience with using AI tools including Microsoft CoPilot

Education

• Junior or Senior year preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information

• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through early June 2027
• Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $23.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
