Supply Chain

The Supply Chain team manages the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. Many of our products are critical components of our own and our customers' missions, so the team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. The team builds assembly kits that let our technicians assemble Electron rockets, manages inventory, shipping and receiving, direct and indirect procurement, and inspects materials and products to confirm they meet compliance and quality standards. The team links every other group together and is central to our success.

Business Systems Engineer I

Business Systems Engineers lead the development and execution of important initiatives across the Supply Chain function. They look for continuous improvement opportunities and support a best-in-class Supply Chain team, driving diagnostics and transformations that deliver the highest quality results. A successful Business Systems Engineer brings strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, and a forward-thinking mindset for integrating AI-driven solutions into supply chain operations.

What You'll Do

• Run in-depth analyses using SQL, R, Power BI, Python, and other tools to assess risk, gather intelligence, and build actionable plans.
• Lead the design, development, and rollout of AI-driven tools and systems for supply chain operations, including intelligent agents and bots that act as "wingmen" for supply chain professionals.
• Work with cross-functional teams to find opportunities for AI integration, automation, and process optimization across the supply chain.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to improve forecasting, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
• Proactively identify efficiency and automation opportunities, including using AI to reduce manual tasks.
• Help develop and maintain procedures and documentation for AI-enabled tools and systems.
• Train and support the wider team on new AI tools, reports, and processes.
• Identify and propose cost reduction opportunities across products and services, using AI to uncover hidden efficiencies.
