Our team

We are looking for high-potential business analysts with demonstrated leadership potential, versatility, and the ability to strategically execute and optimize marketing and insights efforts. This includes gathering, interpreting, and visualizing data to measure marketing performance, optimizing sales strategies, and providing actionable insights that drive customer engagement, conversion, and overall business growth and efficiency.

What you'll do

Our 10-week paid internship will provide you with the foundation on how to gather, interpret, and visualize data to measure performance, optimize strategies, and provide actionable insights that drive customer engagement, conversion, and overall business growth and efficiency. You will receive accelerated learning and skill development through a mix of on-the-job training, mentorship, a community of peers and advisors, and a pathway to a full-time role as a Business Analytics Rotation Program upon graduation.

As a Business Analytics Intern, you'll:

Get hands-on experience working on projects that impact the business such as:

  • Analyze and synthesize data to produce predictive insights, supporting business and channel partners to inform business strategies and decision-making.
  • Apply statistical methods to analyze data and derive meaningful insights.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, address, develop, and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency, including leveraging predictive analytics and simulation models to refine strategy, pressure-test scenarios, and measure ROI under dynamic market conditions.
  • Create and present data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling and engaging communications, telling stories through data to connect with customer experience.
  • Quickly adapt to and anticipate changing market conditions, technologies, and customer preferences, enabled further through leveraging AI.
  • Develop product, technical, and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives.
  • Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, volunteer days, and development workshops.
  • Complete an Analytics Capstone project with other MACX Business Analytics interns and present it to senior executives.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for talent with demonstrated leadership capabilities, a strong work ethic, and intellectual curiosity.

Basic qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree with a target graduation of December 2027 or spring 2028.
  • Coursework in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Technical Writing, Communications, Marketing, Entrepreneurial, Management Information Systems (or similar), and/or the ability to apply knowledge in those areas to understanding the overall financial services business environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with, interpret, and synthesize large and complex data sets.
  • Ability to start the internship program on June 7, 2027.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to work equally well in a team environment and independently, exhibiting initiative, ownership, and flexibility.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.

Working model and hours:

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week, while having flexibility on work location for the other working days. Interns work approximately 40 hours per week during the internship.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $21.25 - $28.32
