Quality Engineering Co-op at Bosch

The Robert Bosch Corporation values the mutual benefit of developing Quality Engineering students over several work terms. We are looking for students who can work three or more terms at our Florence manufacturing facility. The Florence, KY site designs and produces automotive steering components and systems for vehicle OEMs across North America.

Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Learn Bosch problem solving and troubleshooting tools
• Learn to use and update basic internal databases
• Understand the purpose of Process Quality Documents and how to change them
• Assist with problem solving, containment and corrective actions
• Support engineers on improvement and cost saving projects
• Learn Bosch measurement systems and how they are used in production
• Measure dimensions accurately with dedicated, sensitive gauging equipment
• Understand and help perform Gage R&R and capability studies
• Understand the principles of the Bosch Production System
• Use systematic problem solving tools such as SPC, Pareto and fishbone diagrams
• Learn the content and purpose of control plans and FMEAs
• Use measurement tools for production and process troubleshooting
• Apply test and measurement methods such as R&R, SPC and CPK
• Take part in SPI teams and use the system competently
• Understand and help establish failure modes for RPNs
