Summer Analyst Program

The Summer Analyst program is designed for candidates between their junior and senior undergraduate years. It gives participants practical experience in a dynamic capital markets environment. Analysts are assigned to a specific Investment Banking product or industry group during a 10-week program, and they also complete a one-week training and orientation.

Over the summer, analysts can network with bankers at all levels, learn about the BMO Capital Markets culture, take part in learning and development sessions, and receive career guidance from dedicated mentors. The program is an initial interviewing step for the full-time Investment Banking program.

Responsibilities

As an Investment Banking Summer Analyst, you will gain exposure to many industries and financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory. Specific responsibilities include:

• Conducting industry and company research and analysis
• Developing client presentations
• Writing internal and external marketing memoranda
• Running valuation and financial analysis and completing complex modeling exercises
• Supporting client relationships and business development
