About the Role

The Procurement / Supply Chain Co-op supports the procurement of parts and materials by developing sources of supply, monitoring supplier performance, verifying receipt of items, authorizing payment, and managing inventory. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented student who wants to work with a talented team in the semiconductor industry.

You will join a cohort of students serving in key roles across Engineering and Operations at ASMPT NEXX. Monthly co-op events include lunch with the company president, a career panel, and final presentations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties / Essential Functions

• Manage procurement of materials for production, aftermarket sales, and NPI engineering projects
• Generate quotations for components and assemblies
• Create and maintain purchase orders, expedite deliveries, verify transactions, and confirm financial authorization before orders are placed
• Track purchase orders and alert the supply chain planning team to material issues and shipment delays, while driving timely resolution with suppliers
• Maintain inventory levels that match targeted inventory goals and production needs
• Lead total cost of ownership reduction efforts and identify and promote best practices for cost savings
• Support and manage supplier negotiations and the identification and integration of new suppliers
• Perform other related duties as assigned
