Job Details

  • Location: Austin, TX, USA
  • Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires working from the Austin office 40 hours a week for the full co-op term.
  • Duration: January 25, 2027 to August 13, 2027

What You Will Be Doing

Join the Validation and Design team to help develop groundbreaking microprocessor products as an Undergrad Validation/Debug Co-Op.

  • Develop debug tools to speed up the analysis of complex issues.
  • Set up test environments and execute test cases.
  • Use a range of software and hardware tools to analyze, collect, and verify test result data.
  • Streamline the design validation process and debug to reduce time to market.
  • Interact with customers while debugging and supporting issues.
  • Work on Post-Silicon platforms to shift validation left for complex IPs.
  • Help execute manual and automated test cases and triage any resulting failures.

Who We Are Looking For

You are currently enrolled in a United States based university in your 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering. If you have knowledge or experience in the following areas and are enthusiastic about this role, we encourage you to apply:

  • Python, Ruby, or Bash scripting for creating and modifying automated tests
  • Hands-on experience with hardware systems to modify full system setups for A/B debug testing
  • Debugging and developing tools to speed up analysis of complex issues
  • Familiarity with JTAG tools to analyze, collect, and verify hardware data
  • Strong communication skills for working with internal stakeholders while debugging
  • Working knowledge of Windows troubleshooting tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of the Linux environment
  • Ability to run manual and automated test cases and triage resulting failures
  • Ability to identify patterns to inform test case planning
  • Test hardware assembly, OS and software stack deployment, and test case and test plan management
  • Execution of automated and manual test cases, and results triage
