Job Overview:

DXC Technology is seeking a talented Backend Developer to join its team in a remote capacity. The role focuses on building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and integrations to support the company’s growing tech ecosystem. As a Backend Developer, you will work on developing robust, scalable, and secure services using Python and associated frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend services and APIs according to project specifications.
Implement new features and functionalities using Python and related frameworks.
Follow established coding standards and architectural patterns to ensure high-quality code.
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with a focus on long-term maintainability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the services and APIs developed.
Adhere to security best practices in coding to ensure system integrity and data protection.
Integrate with internal and external systems as required.
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues or bugs effectively and in a timely manner.
Participate in the development of testing standards and implement automated tests for backend systems.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in backend development.
Proficiency in Python programming language and frameworks.
Solid understanding of RESTful API principles.
Familiarity with database systems and SQL.
Experience with version control tools, especially Git.
Basic knowledge of web security principles.
Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure at a basic level.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GraphQL for API development.
Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience using API documentation tools.
Basic understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.
Interest in AI technologies and workflows.
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD concepts.
Familiarity with microservices architecture.
Experience building AI agents is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation Range: $50,400 – $93,500 annually.
