About the Role:

RB Global is looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that power our e-commerce platform, used both internally and by external customers. Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze e-commerce business requirements and translate them into detailed engineering designs.
  • Develop software solutions that bring a wide range of business functionalities to life on the web.
  • Integrate third-party systems from industry partners or customers to enable real-time data exchanges.
  • Define testing specifications, facilitate project testing, and optimize system performance.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and other departments.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, showing flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in J2EE technologies, including Java application servers, EJB, Hibernate, and JSTL.
  • Solid experience with Oracle database systems, including schema design, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up and managing development databases.
  • Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and XML.
  • Quick learner, adaptable to new technologies, and eager to implement innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to comprehend and adapt to evolving e-commerce business processes.
