Service Engineer Intern

We are hiring for 2026. The goal of HydraForce's internship program is to develop future engineering resources for our organization while providing support to our Service, Quality, and Sales Engineering groups. We structure the engineering internship to allow candidates the opportunity to develop knowledge and skill-sets unique to our industry. Although there is no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into an entry-level engineering position upon graduation.

Supporting Job Elements

• Support the Service Engineers by actively participating in Problem Solving activities, assuring the achievement of the different steps of an 8D process.
• Create and modify existing systems that track our metrics, including improvements in the current dashboard/scorecard used by the service department, possibly using analytical tools like Power BI.
• Support the Service Engineers to track the evaluation status of customer claims.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects.
• Provide day-to-day support activities, including reviewing returned materials and verifying customer complaints through root cause analysis and performing hydraulic testing for failure analysis.
• Assemble/disassemble hydraulic valves and manifolds for failure analysis.
• Read and analyze hydraulic prints.
• Use tools and techniques from Six Sigma and Lean to analyze and solve problems.

May 27, 2026 - August 7, 2026

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills (required).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Minitab is a plus.
• Coursework and/or experience in statistical analysis and lean tools (required).
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Additional Information

The US hourly rate will be $23.51 - $28.00/hour. Within the range, individual pay rate is determined based on several factors, including work experience, job knowledge, complexity of the role, and job location. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
