The Security & Trust Organization (S&TO) is dedicated to securing products and services, protecting Cisco and its employees, and building trust with customers, partners, and regulators. You'll join a dynamic, collaborative team and work with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders to drive essential security initiatives. The organization fosters an innovative, growth-focused culture, offering opportunities to collaborate with teams across Cisco, including IT, Product, Customer Experience (CX), and nearly every business unit, to deliver critical security solutions.

Your Impact

Software engineers contribute to the design and maintenance of crucial technology platforms, such as operating systems, networks, and databases. The focus is on building stable, user-friendly programs while closely following established processes and considering the relationship between software and hardware. Your contributions may even influence product design.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Associate's or Bachelor's)
• Qualifying education should be in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: C/C++, Python, or Java, with evidence of recent (within the past 12 months) coursework, projects, or work experience
• Experience in QA, testing, and/or debugging
• Must be a U.S. citizen with legal right to work in the U.S., with no need for visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux, Networking concepts, OS core concepts, Embedded Development, and/or ML
• Experience with Databases, Web Application Development, and Web Services
• Knowledge in Computer Networking and/or Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
