The Role

We are offering a talented individual the chance to join Schonfeld's internship program. Over ten weeks, you will work with the Business Analytics team, contributing to high-profile projects as a Data Analyst.

What You'll Do

The Business Analytics team focuses on discovering, interpreting, and communicating meaningful patterns in data to drive decision making and problem solving. The team handles data acquisition and processing using technology to solve business problems for stakeholders across risk, trading, accounting, operations, and business development.

In this role, you'll gain exposure to Python, SQL, and Power BI to transform and analyze data in a real-world setting, with mentorship from team members. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to solve problems and create a positive impact by improving data quality, streamlining manual processes, building reports, proposing analytics, and supporting our reporting infrastructure.

What You'll Bring

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data engineering and analytics tools and frameworks
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases
• An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements
• Interest in trading and hedge fund strategies

The annual base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $115,000, which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and level of education.
