The Opportunity

As a Tax Intern, you will immerse yourself in the world of tax consulting and gain exposure to the complexities of the global tax landscape. Within the Tax practice, you will support teams in delivering tailored tax services that optimize strategies, minimize risks, and drive compliance. As an intern, you will focus on learning PwC's methodologies, taking part in projects, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the team's success.

In this role, you will work within General Tax Consulting, providing advice and planning strategies to businesses. You will work through complex tax regulations, optimize tax positions, and reduce risks as part of a supportive team. The role lets you apply a learning mindset, value diverse perspectives, and listen actively to strengthen your communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies
  • Participating in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents
  • Assisting in the analysis of complex tax regulations to optimize tax positions and minimize risks
  • Engaging in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance activities
  • Conducting tax research to support consulting projects and provide innovative solutions
  • Collaborating with team members to develop tax models and structures for clients
  • Contributing to the preparation of tax provisions and audits to validate compliance
  • Observing and learning from experienced tax professionals to enhance personal development
  • Applying data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimization and efficiency
  • Supporting the development of regulatory compliance consulting strategies for diverse industries

What You Must Have

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least a 3.0 overall GPA
  • Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
  • Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is $29.25 to $48.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
