Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space sector in Dulles, VA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's East Region Space Superiority Division, Scheduling Management team.

What You Will Learn

• How integrated master plans and integrated master schedules are prepared, developed, and coordinated to support program objectives.
• How major projects and program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated across functional groups such as finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
• How to track plans and schedules, perform basic risk analysis, and support the identification and resolution of critical path and network logic conflicts.
• How Gantt charts, PERT charts, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques are used to measure progress and identify performance variances, enabling teams to focus on critical areas.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027.
• Be majoring in Project Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Science, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or similar related fields.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
• Proficiency with basic PC applications and web-based tools.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
• Exposure to or coursework using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
• Basic understanding of databases (e.g., concepts such as tables, queries, and relationships) or experience with tools like Excel, Access, or SQL.

Intern Pay Range:

Bachelor's: $19.25 to $34.75 per hour

Master's: $27.50 to $43.25 per hour

At Northrop Grumman, internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
