Applied Materials' VSU BU Implant is seeking an intern to join our Quality Group as a Product Quality Engineering intern for Spring 2027. The role involves:

• Supporting processing of defective material
• Learning the SAP Integrated Business system
• Visiting local suppliers with our Quality team
• Participating in cross-functional teams to solve problems
• Exposure to engineering groups and participation in small projects
• Possible tour of a semiconductor fab, if time permits
• Co-op begins January 2027, with training starting early to mid December 2026
• Approximately 6 months on-site at our Gloucester, MA location

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
• Must be in good academic standing at your university
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with being inquisitive and asking questions
• Organized, with a thirst for problem solving and strong communication skills

Compensation

$31 - $33 per hour

Additional Information

Full time; Intern / Student; Travel not specified; Relocation eligible: Yes. Salary offered will be based on factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
