Internship: Nonclinical Drug Safety & DART

Job Description

The Future Talent Program offers internships lasting up to 12 weeks, including one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research and Development Division provide valuable development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

NDS, Nonclinical Drug Safety, helps advance high-quality drug candidates into development by defining the non-clinical safety and selectivity of lead compounds. NDS employees evaluate Lead Op candidates and preclinical toxicity of drug development candidates, provide mechanistic understanding of drug-induced toxicity, and assess implications for human safety.

DART

The Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology (DART) group assesses effects of drugs and vaccines on mammalian reproduction and development to support human clinical trials and marketing authorizations. A student with interest in developmental and reproductive biology and/or toxicology will explore means to enhance DART testing.

Location: West Point, PA

Education Requirements

• Candidates should currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Animal Sciences, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies

For DART potential candidates: Background in developmental and/or reproductive biology, cell biology, or toxicology. Previous laboratory experience is not required but is considered a plus.

Required Qualifications

• Must be available for a period of 10-12 weeks, beginning May 2027.

Salary range: The salary range for this role is $39,108 through $111,111.
