What does our Internship Program offer?

Key's Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program that offers meaningful work, feedback, coaching, and engaging events. Interns work on line of business specific projects that directly impact Key's business and strategic pillars. The program includes networking with Key teammates, Learning Labs with internal and external speakers, and an assigned mentor.

Commercial Banking

Commercial at Key offers financial solutions for middle market and institutional clients, including lending, commercial payments, and advisory support. The Commercial Bank is a core component of Key's strategic priorities.

About the Internship

As an intern, you will gain experience by contributing to projects and collaborating with seasoned professionals. This role focuses on credit and lending within the Denver Market. You will engage with senior-level bankers and Commercial Analysts, gaining hands-on exposure to the Commercial Lending business.

Job Responsibilities

• Learn to analyze commercial loan requests, including reviewing financial statement spreads, calculating key financial ratios, and analyzing borrowers' business and financial integrity.
• Work with designated teams to ensure accuracy of credit system data.
• Work with clients to ensure timely collection of financial statements needed to monitor performance.
• Work with support partners to perform system maintenance and with Relationship Managers to ensure accurate pipeline activities within Salesforce.
• Complete a Capstone Project leveraging learnings from the Internship, including credit, business analytics, and client-facing deliverables.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support the goals of the relationship management teams.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least two years toward a four-year undergraduate degree with coursework in finance, accounting, economics, and/or data science (preferred), with an anticipated graduation in or before May 2028.
• Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.3 GPA).
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
• Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Professional conduct.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $27 per hour, plus a $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus. KeyBank's Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
