Role Overview

As a Policy Communications Intern, you will actively support the execution of Micron's global policy communications strategy. This internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, event monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration, all aimed at advancing Micron's policy objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of global policy communications strategies across integrated channels
• Draft communications materials including quotes, press releases, and messaging briefs
• Manage and create content for the @MicronPolicy X account to meet engagement goals
• Attend and summarize congressional hearings and think tank events related to semiconductor and national security issues
• Monitor policy activities and industry news to identify engagement opportunities
• Collaborate with global communications, marketing, and digital teams to amplify narratives
• Copy edit and format internal and external communications products

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or a related field
• Strong interest or experience in government, technology, defense, or semiconductor-related industries
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
• Self-starter with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
• AI proficiency with LLMs or AI-enabled ways of working where applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communications, public affairs, or policy-related roles
• Familiarity with social media strategy and content creation
• Ability to summarize complex policy topics for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Experience with copy editing and formatting professional communications

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated hourly base pay for this full-time position is $37.91. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is based on work location and job-related factors.
