Etch Equipment Engineer Intern

NXP is looking for an undergraduate candidate to join the Front End Operations organization at the Austin Manufacturing & Technology Center. As part of the Etch engineering team, the intern will work alongside manufacturing operations to improve NXP's manufacturing performance.

Job Summary

• Work on projects under the direction of Equipment Engineering to help optimize MTBF, MTTR, and maximize equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality, and cost.
• Participate in fab-to-fab standardization, tool-to-tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, and throughput improvement projects.
• Develop logical and objective data analysis skills to establish and track metrics that meet department goals.
• Own a high-business impact project, including research, analysis, and presentation to fab leadership.

Job Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of SPC and its use in troubleshooting and making improvements.
• Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
