Equipment Engineer Internship

NXP's Technology & Operations organization is essential to the company's success, ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers.

This is a full-time, 12-week, on-site internship at the Austin Technology and Manufacturing Center (ATMC).

Job Responsibilities

• Drive a specific project within the Equipment Engineering team, appropriate in time (less than 3 months generally), scope, and technical knowledge (engineering skill needed, but minimal semiconductor expertise) to an intern.
• Learn about semiconductors and maintenance generally, the fab way of work, and the Equipment Engineering role.
• Report out at the end to senior management about the results of the project, benefit to NXP, and what was learned.

Job Qualifications

• The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred.
• Prefer December 2027 and May 2028 graduation dates.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in electromechanical system construction, repair, and/or maintenance.
