At Raytheon, the Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that centers on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows our company to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.

An effective candidate for the Electrical Engineering Intern position will support multi-discipline teams supporting primarily military programs through application of EE resources and design processes. The chosen candidate will be a team member supporting the design, analysis and support of electronics products.

What You Will Do

• Gain valued electrical engineering skills through hands-on lab work testing, troubleshooting, and integrating analog and/or digital electronics.
• Work with industry standard electrical engineering CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools.
• Utilize electrical engineering lab equipment on a daily basis.
• Work with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, and simulation.
• Create reports and out briefs using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• You will learn and utilize applicable internal processes and tools for the development of system level hardware. In addition, you will learn frequent use and application of technical standards, concepts and techniques.
• You are expected to provide recommendations for a variety of technical problems of appropriate scope and complexity, working under general supervision.
• You should expect to be immersed in an exciting, team-based, and challenging technical environment where one with ability and initiative can thrive.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of Summer 2027.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience reading drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Experience documenting test results and repair recommendations.
• Experience working in a lab environment with standard Electrical Engineering lab equipment (i.e., Vector Network Analyzers, Power Meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multi meters (DMMs), signal sources).

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
