Data Science Intern

Job Summary

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Fab Operations, Business Lines, and support teams to deliver continuous improvement solutions in a high-volume semiconductor wafer manufacturing environment.
• Work on engineering and analytical problem-solving projects under the guidance of Quality and Operations Engineering, applying a 6 Sigma structured problem-solving approach to optimize quality solutions.
• Engage in fab-to-fab standardization activities and improvements, including participation at external manufacturing sites in the local area.
• Get involved in machine learning and AI projects focused on quality improvements.
• Develop logical and objective data analysis skills to establish and track metrics aligned with department goals.
• Own a high-business-impact project, handling research, analysis, and presentation to organization leadership during the internship.

Job Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• Familiarity with Integrated Circuit Manufacturing or Design is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Coursework in advanced statistics and data science is desired.
• Strong programming skills in R or Python are preferred.
• Aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
