Job Summary

The Community Relations Department is looking for a creative and driven individual with a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn. Candidates must have extensive on-ice and off-ice hockey experience in girls hockey, which can include participation, coaching, or management. This is a paid fellowship of approximately 30-35 hours per week; however, housing and transportation are the fellow's responsibility. The fellowship will run for the duration of the 2026-2027 Flyers Season.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the set up and implementation of multiple Try Hockey for Free events.
• Work with the CR team to create new youth programming aimed at growing female participation in ice and ball hockey.
• Serve as lead instructor for Girls-only Learn to Play sessions, and assist with co-ed learn to play programming.
• Assist in the scheduling and organization of community activation events, clinics, and other youth hockey related programs.
• Create an updated training manual for physical education teachers to utilize after receiving equipment donations from the Flyers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience playing and/or coaching youth hockey.
• Experience managing multiple projects, adapting to changing schedules, finishing tasks quickly, and meeting deadlines.
• Must be a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic environment.
• Must be available to work evening and weekend hours on an as needed basis.

Salary

Base Pay: $20.00
