Internship Experience

Over the course of our 10-12 week internship, you will have opportunities to:

Communications Intern Role

The Boeing Communications team is seeking candidates for a summer internship in Washington, DC, St Louis, MO, and Washington state. Candidates will support a variety of initiatives aligned with Boeing's communications priorities. Opportunities range from corporate to business and program communications, available in various locations.

Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Interns will contribute to internal and external communications deliverables for employees and leaders, assist with the development and execution of communications plans and branding strategies, and serve as an energetic Boeing representative at community-facing events.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and collaborating with Communications, Boeing Global Engagement team members, business unit and functional team members, including leadership teams.
  • Writing, editing, and developing messages, stories, and speeches; developing website and social media content; creating videos; and providing event management support for community sponsorships.
  • Assisting with the development and execution of strategic communications plans and branding strategies.
  • Applying advanced communications techniques.
  • Supporting business unit and enterprise-wide branding initiatives.
  • Being available to work some weekend days throughout the summer in support of sponsorship activations.

These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Some of these positions may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. The employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Some positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2027.
  • Availability for full-time work spanning 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong writing, editing, social and digital communications skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • MBA candidates or Masters in related disciplines preferred.
  • Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above).
  • Previous internships or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations.
  • Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career with Boeing.
  • The ability to work onsite.

These positions will not offer relocation. These positions are for 1st Shift.

The specific programs and options may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and collective bargaining agreements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: Min: $40,000 – Max: $80,000
