Co-op: Patient Interface Mask Engineering

Job Description

Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid co-op opportunities. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

• Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of CPAP mask systems and sub-systems.
• Compile and analyze data to support mask and CPAP machine designs.
• Support small-scale fabrication and assembly of prototypes, and support bench testing and trialing of prototypes.
• Be highly motivated, self-disciplined, open-minded individual possessing hands-on skills. Successfully interact with group members in various technical disciplines.
• Use critical thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Deliver creative solutions to somewhat complex and subjective problems.

You're the right fit if:

• Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Plastics Engineering, or related student.
• Solid basic computer skills including MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and presentation skills for reporting project status.
• Knowledge of CAD (Pro-E), FEA, and CFD software desired. Detail-oriented documentation skills desired and passion for learning.
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is Bachelor: $26.00-$29.00, Masters: $33.00-$46.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Murrysville, PA.
