CMP/Implant Engineer Intern

Job Summary

NXP is looking for an undergraduate student to join the Front End Operations team at the Austin Manufacturing & Technology Center. As part of the CMP/Implant engineering group, you will work alongside manufacturing operations to help improve NXP's manufacturing performance.

• Support projects led by an Equipment/Process Engineer to optimize MTBF, MTTR, and maximize equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality, and cost.
• Participate in fab-to-fab standardization, tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives.
• Develop logical and objective data analysis skills to establish and track metrics that support department goals.
• Own a high-impact business project, including research, analysis, and presentation to fab leadership.

Job Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of SPC and its application in troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
