Program Overview

KeyBank's Enterprise Analyst Program is a multi-week training program that helps college students transition into a full-time career at Key. You'll learn about Key's business and strategic pillars, industry-leading employee benefits, and engage in networking events with Analysts across various teams. You'll also hear from members of the Executive Leadership Team and receive relevant training before starting your full-time role.

After the training, Analysts enter their Line of Business to begin a rotational program or start in their full-time role. Continued development is provided through mentorship opportunities with teammates at various levels, encouraging professional development and helping you achieve your career goals.

About the Analytics & Quantitative Modeling Rotational Program

This program is designed to develop analytical and quantitative professionals through training, work experiences, and cross-functional exposure. Rotations begin after foundational training and continue for 12 months, with each rotation lasting 6 months. Upon completion, analysts who meet performance expectations will be placed into full-time roles in Analytics & Quantitative Modeling (based on availability). This position requires you to be onsite in Cleveland for the entire program.

Rotation Areas

Quantitative Modeling and Advanced Analytics (QMAA)

Own and develop predictive models for risk, capital, and business insights. These functions support decisions across the credit relationship lifecycle, from prospecting to portfolio management.

Model Risk

Assess predictive models across the enterprise to ensure they are suitably designed, perform as intended, and are reliable for decision-making.

Market Risk

Help price fixed income securities and derivatives, and quantify the risk of loss due to market changes.

Client & Employee Experience

Apply analytics, visualization, and storytelling to survey and vendor data to enhance client and colleague experiences.

Commercial Analytics

Support evolving payment solutions, from streamlining receivables and payables to managing liquidity and funds.

Fraud Analytics

Use modeling and advanced analytics (Machine Learning and Network Analysis) to detect and prevent fraud, protecting clients and the institution.

Credit Portfolio Management

Combine macroeconomic, industry, and geopolitical research with internal portfolio analytics to identify and mitigate emerging credit risks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis and research, drawing business and financial insights with integrity and accuracy.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management, including effective data visualizations.
  • Solve problems using analytical and mathematical techniques across business and risk management areas.
  • Conduct market and industry research for peer analytics and strategy.
  • Develop and support reporting for financial, regulatory, and business intelligence needs.

Qualifications

  • Must obtain a four-year degree or graduate degree by May 2027 or December 2026, with coursework in mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, computer science, business analytics, data science, or other quantitative fields.
  • Prior internship experience preferred.
  • Outstanding academic achievement (minimum 3.5 GPA).
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from work or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques, machine learning approaches, or data mining concepts.
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts and exposure to AI/ML tools or techniques.
  • Preferred exposure to programming for data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization (SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, etc.).

Compensation and Benefits

This position earns a salary of $75k for undergraduate degree students and $85k for graduate degree students, plus a $5,000 Summer Sign-on Bonus. Benefits are available as listed on Key's benefits page.
