Kodiak Robotics is a leading autonomous trucking company founded in 2018 by Don Burnette, a former engineer from Google's self-driving car project. The company is on a mission to make roads safer and freight transportation more efficient by developing the Kodiak Driver, an advanced autonomous driving system designed specifically for long-haul trucking. Kodiak focuses on a pragmatic, sensor-rich approach that enables safe and scalable deployment of self-driving trucks on highways, with a strong emphasis on operational safety and reliability.

Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Kodiak Robotics has grown to approximately 200 employees and has established itself as a key player in the autonomous freight ecosystem. The company has completed numerous autonomous commercial deliveries and has expanded its operations into the Permian Basin, where it provides autonomous trucking services for the oilfield industry. Kodiak has also partnered with major logistics and technology companies, and its recent achievements include successful driverless trucking demonstrations and strategic collaborations aimed at accelerating the commercialization of autonomous freight.

With a reputation for engineering excellence and a clear focus on practical deployment, Kodiak Robotics is well-positioned to shape the future of trucking. The company continues to attract significant investment and industry attention, competing alongside other autonomous trucking pioneers while maintaining a distinct approach centered on safety, modularity, and rapid commercialization.
