About the Role

NMI is looking for a passionate and skilled Web Developer with strong experience in WordPress and Zendesk to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building user-friendly websites and enhancing digital support systems.

As a Web Developer, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining our websites and support platforms. Your contributions will directly impact how users experience our brand online.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites using custom themes and plugins
Configure and manage Zendesk to improve support workflows and user engagement
Work closely with the design and marketing teams to implement visually appealing pages
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, speed, and responsiveness issues
Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress and Zendesk
Perform regular updates, security audits, and backups
Improve SEO rankings through optimization best practices
Track and analyze website performance using analytics tools
Stay informed on the latest web development trends and tools

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in building and managing WordPress websites
Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
Experience in configuring and customizing Zendesk
Familiar with web hosting, domain setup, and SSL certificates
Understanding of SEO strategies and tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
Experience with version control tools such as Git
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Skills

Experience with other CMS platforms or frameworks
Knowledge of REST APIs and webhooks
Understanding of UX/UI design concepts
Awareness of accessibility standards and web compliance

Salary: $60,000 – $76,000 per year
