Role: Associate Product Engineer
vidIQ is hiring a hands-on Associate Product Engineer to help design, build, and ship products that reshape how creators engage with the platform. This hybrid role combines the skills of a Product Manager and Software Engineer, allowing you to take complete ownership of the product development cycle—especially with the support of AI tools.
Responsibilities
As a Product Engineer at vidIQ, you will:
- Own the full product lifecycle from ideation to implementation.
- Prototype and develop impactful tools such as Analytics Dashboards and AI-powered Workflow Shortcuts.
- Deploy and test onboarding improvements to increase user engagement.
- Work closely with AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to accelerate coding and decision-making.
- Use data analytics and A/B testing to inform product features and optimize performance.
- Improve critical business metrics, including user retention, paid conversions, and churn reduction.
Key Outcomes Expected
- Increase in free-to-paid conversions.
- Decrease in subscriber cancellations.
- Growth in daily, weekly, and monthly returning users.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills:
- React, TypeScript, AI-Powered Prototyping, Data Analysis, A/B Testing, Product Strategy, User Analytics, AI Tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor), UX/UI Understanding
Preferred Traits:
- Proven track record of building real-world products, apps, or hackathon projects.
- Ability to automate workflows using AI.
- Strong empathy for creators—ideally with personal experience as a content creator (500+ followers/subscribers) or previous work in the creator economy.
- Capability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative user data to guide decisions.
