About the Role
As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll be a key contributor in building end-to-end digital products that support the clinical trial ecosystem. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in full stack development while working with a collaborative and high-performing team. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and success of ongoing medical research.
This position is open to new graduates and early-career professionals with a passion for software engineering and healthcare innovation.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to define and implement technical vision and software architecture
- Build full-stack applications using traditional development frameworks and low-code/no-code tools
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with appropriate test coverage
- Contribute to the design and execution of the product roadmap
- Participate in the software development lifecycle across planning, development, testing, and deployment
- Stay current with modern software engineering practices and technologies
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience with full stack engineering (can include internships, freelance, or personal projects)
- Proficiency in JavaScript and commonly used libraries and frameworks such as React and Express
- Experience with at least one general-purpose language (e.g., TypeScript, Python, C#)
- Familiarity with databases and modern web development tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new tools and workflows quickly
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during US or Canadian working hours (EST or PST)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Interest in healthcare, biotech, or clinical trial technologies is a plus
- Entrepreneurial attitude; experience in a startup environment is preferred
