Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop UI frameworks and UX features for AAA-quality games and applications.
- Collaborate with design, art, and engineering teams to create intuitive and visually stunning interfaces for PC, console, mobile, and AR/VR platforms.
- Translate wireframes, prototypes, and creative concepts into fully functional UI/UX components.
- Implement telemetry to collect user interaction data and use analytics for continuous UI/UX improvement.
- Optimize interfaces for diverse input methods, including controllers, touch devices, mouse/keyboard, and AR/VR systems.
- Ensure smooth integration between UI elements and gameplay, maintaining a cohesive and immersive player experience.
- Work with backend, engine, and build teams to effectively package and stream UI/UX content.
- Debug, monitor, and refine UI/UX implementations for optimal performance and user satisfaction.
Requirements
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Proficiency in C++; experience in C# is a plus.
- Proven experience designing and implementing real-time UI/UX systems for AAA titles or applications.
Design and Development Skills:
- Deep familiarity with interaction design, usability principles, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Knowledge of computer graphics pipelines and linear algebra.
- Experience with Unreal Engine Slate and UMG highly preferred.
- Web UI development experience is a plus.
Cross-Platform Skills:
- Ability to create and optimize UI/UX for multiple platforms (console, mobile, AR/VR).
Data-Driven Approach:
- Experience using telemetry tools to track user behavior and enhance user experiences.
Project Contributions:
- Must have contributed to at least one shipped AAA title.
Passion:
- A genuine passion for creating immersive and engaging user experiences that elevate gameplay.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing and developing interfaces for VR/AR applications.
- Strong visual design skills with emphasis on typography, layout, and color theory.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and iterative design processes.
