Role Description
We are seeking a motivated Contract Software Engineer Intern to design, build, and deliver interactive cybersecurity learning experiences. You will develop SCORM-compliant modules, optimize for accessibility and mobile devices, and ensure smooth integration with our Learning Management System (LMS). This is a hands-on role that allows you to apply technical skills while gaining valuable experience in the growing field of cybersecurity education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interactive eLearning modules using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript meeting SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 standards
- Package and validate content for seamless LMS integration
- Collaborate with designers and instructional staff to create engaging and accessible learning experiences
- Optimize modules for mobile responsiveness and performance
- Apply basic graphic design and media optimization techniques
- Debug and resolve front-end issues for smooth course delivery
- Document processes, share best practices, and improve workflow efficiency
- Take on additional technical or project responsibilities as skills and business needs evolve
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Software Engineering, Web Development, Instructional Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 standards
- Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring Suite
- Understanding of accessibility best practices for online learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating content with an LMS
- Basic graphic design or multimedia editing skills
- Knowledge of responsive design for mobile devices
- Interest in eLearning, web development, or cybersecurity
