About the Role
Cherry Technologies is inviting fresh graduates to kickstart their careers as Junior Backend Developers through our New Grad Program. From day one, you’ll contribute to real-world product development while being supported by a dedicated mentor and peer buddy. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver features end-to-end
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code using modern backend frameworks
- Participate in code reviews and engage in technical discussions
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems for performance and scalability
- Continuously learn and develop under the guidance of experienced engineers
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (2024 or 2025) in Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong academic track record
- Practical experience in at least one backend language: Node.js, Python, Java, or Go
- Basic understanding of server-side development, APIs, and databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Internship or part-time experience in backend development
- Strong communication skills in both Turkish and English
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Contribution to open-source projects
- Participation in hackathons
- Active GitHub portfolio showcasing backend projects
