About the Rhodes Scholarship #
Established in 1902 through the will of Cecil Rhodes, the Rhodes Scholarship is designed to support exceptional students from across the world to study at Oxford University. It aims to nurture public-spirited leaders and promote international understanding.
Scholars receive financial support to pursue most full-time postgraduate degrees, and they become part of a distinguished community that shares a commitment to academic excellence and service.
What Does the Scholarship Include? #
The Rhodes Scholarship is fully funded and covers:
- University and College fees at Oxford
- Annual stipend: £19,800 for the academic year 2024–25 (approximately £1,650 per month)
- Travel allowance: Two economy-class flights — one for arrival and one for return after the course
- Visa and health surcharge fees for studying in the UK
- Settling-in allowance upon arrival in Oxford
- Visa renewal and IHS renewal support (if applicable for second degree)
